Phars Film secures international distribution for the highly anticipated action blockbuster, reuniting Shah Rukh Khan with ‘Pathaan’ director Siddharth Anand.
Shah Rukh Khan is preparing for a major return to the big screen this Christmas, with his highly anticipated action spectacle ‘KING’ set to arrive in international cinemas on 24 December 2026. UAE-based distributor Phars Film has secured the film’s overseas release, positioning the Bollywood superstar’s latest project as one of the biggest Indian theatrical events of the festive season.
Directed by Siddharth Anand, ‘KING’ reunites Khan with the filmmaker behind the blockbuster hit ‘Pathaan’, raising expectations for another large-scale action entertainer. Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment in association with Marflix Pictures, the upcoming film promises a combination of high-octane action, cinematic spectacle and the commanding screen presence that has made Khan one of Indian cinema’s most internationally recognised stars.
The international distribution agreement represents a significant milestone for Phars Film, which will oversee bringing the highly anticipated production to audiences across overseas markets. Mr. Golchin, Chairman of Phars Film, described the partnership as a major achievement for the company, emphasising the privilege of working on a release featuring an actor whose influence extends far beyond India.
Venky Mysore, CEO of Red Chillies Entertainment, also welcomed the partnership, highlighting Phars Film’s established international reach and market expertise as important factors in strengthening the film’s global theatrical prospects.
The announcement comes as anticipation continues to build around Khan’s next major action role. Following the enormous success of ‘Pathaan’, his reunion with Anand is expected to attract considerable attention from audiences eager to see the pair collaborate once again.
With its Christmas Eve release date, established creative team and international distribution plans, ‘KING’ is shaping up to be a major event for Indian cinema.
