DC Studios and Warner Bros.’ ‘Supergirl’ is flying onto tracking with some solid early heat: the film is eyeing a $55 million-plus domestic opening when it lands in theaters on June 26.

Tickets are already on sale for the Craig Gillespie-directed movie, which adapts Tom King and Bilquis Evely’s acclaimed graphic novel ‘Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.’

‘House of the Dragon’ breakout star Milly Alcock stars as Supergirl, while the latest trailer gives a major spotlight to Jason Momoa’s Lobo, DC’s loud, chaotic new antihero.

The film follows DC Studios’ big relaunch under James Gunn and Peter Safran, which began last summer with Gunn’s ‘Superman.’ That film opened to $125 million and soared to $354.2 million domestically and $618.7 million worldwide.

The budget for ‘Supergirl’ is $170 - $175 million.
