Teresa Palmer is the latest actor to sign on for a role in Amazon MGM Studios’ upcoming thriller ‘Subversion.’

The film, directed by Patrick Vollrath, already boasts a cast that includes Chris Hemsworth, Lily James, Michael Peña, and Joe Cole. Palmer most recently appeared opposite Ryan Gosling in Universal’s ‘The Fall Guy.’

Additional cast members include David Wenham (‘Elvis’), Robert John Burke (‘The Last of Us’), and Simone Kessell (‘Yellowjackets’), as first revealed by

Patrick Vollrath, known for ‘7500,’ is directing from a script by Andrew Ferguson. Lorenzo di Bonaventura is producing, with Stephen Shafer and Greg Cohen executive producing under the di Bonaventura Pictures banner.

‘Subversion’ follows a disgraced naval commander (Hemsworth) who is forced into piloting a submarine carrying illicit cargo across international waters, while a determined Coast Guard officer (James) gives chase.

Palmer’s screen credits include ‘Hacksaw Ridge,’ ‘Warm Bodies,’ and Terrence Malick’s ‘Knight of Cups.’

Looking ahead, she will be seen in ‘Bear Country’ alongside Russell Crowe, Nina Dobrev, and Aaron Paul.
