Cristiano Ronaldo is looking to stay busy after his short-lived World Cup campaign with Portugal, and appears to have already lined up his next major project away from the pitch.

According to The Sun, the Portuguese football icon is working alongside ‘Kingsman’ filmmaker Matthew Vaughn on ‘Day 1’s,’ a new television series centred on a British football agent. The project is reportedly set to star Damian Lewis and feature appearances from several prominent figures from the sport.

Based on an original idea by football agent Darren Dein, the series will follow the fictional story of Stanley Dalton, a football agent operating in the United Kingdom. Filming is said to have already begun in London, with former Arsenal and France star Thierry Henry and British rapper Dave also reportedly involved.

Ronaldo is expected to appear in the series and serve as an executive producer. ‘Day 1’s’ will be the first television project to emerge from Marv.

Vaughn’s previous film credits include ‘Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels,’ ‘Layer Cake,’ ‘X-Men: First Class’ and the ‘Kingsman’ franchise.

Ronaldo currently plays for Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr, but at 41 years old, the footballer is increasingly preparing for life beyond the sport. Portugal were eliminated from the World Cup in the round of 16 after losing to eventual champions Spain, bringing Ronaldo’s World Cup career to an end.

Ronaldo is regarded as one of the greatest footballers of all time.
