Kristen Stewart & Wagner Moura Start Filming A24 Vampire Thriller ‘Flesh Of The Gods,’ New Cast Added

Kristen Stewart and Wagner Moura have started filming the 1980s-set vampire thriller ‘Flesh of the Gods,’ with production launching in the Canary Islands, Spain, and Cologne, Germany scheduled for the next half of shooting.

Esmé Creed-Miles (‘Hannah’), Roland Møller (‘Citadel’) and Alba Baptista (‘Voltron’) have also joined the cast of the genre film from Panos Cosmatos (‘Mandy’), which was previously acquired by A24 for U.S. distribution.

Stewart and Moura play Raoul and Alex, a married couple living in glamorous 1980s Los Angeles. Each night, they leave their luxury high-rise and enter the city’s electric nightlife, where an encounter with the mysterious Nameless and her party-loving crew draws them into a surreal world of hedonism, thrills and violence.

The film is written by Andrew Kevin Walker (‘Se7en’) from a story by Walker and Cosmatos. Its produced by Hyperobject Industries, Augenschein Filmproduktion, Nevermind Pictures and XYZ Films. XYZ Films and YouRoc are financing in association with IPR.VC and Vixens. Domestic rights are handled by CAA Media Finance and WME Independent, with XYZ Films handling international sales.
