For the upcoming Yorgos Lanthimos film ‘Bugonia,’ a unique Los Angeles screening is turning heads — or shaving them. The exclusive event, happening Monday at the Culver Theater (L.A), will only admit guests who are bald or willing to shave their heads at the door to match Emma Stone’s character in the movie.

DoLA announced the event on Instagram:

Admission is first-come, first-served, and attendees must RSVP in advance. The event is limited to guests 18 and older.

‘Bugonia’ marks the fourth collaboration between Lanthimos and Stone, following ‘The Favourite’ (2018), ‘Poor Things’ (2023), and ‘Kinds of Kindness’ (2024). In the new film, Stone stars as a powerful CEO who is kidnapped and accused of being an alien. The cast also features Jesse Plemons, Aidan Delbis, Stavros Halkias, and Alicia Silverstone.

Earlier this year, Stone spoke to Vogue about shaving her own head for the role, describing it as both empowering and emotional. She said the moment brought her to tears in her trailer, as it reminded her of her mother, Krista Stone, who lost her hair during breast cancer treatment.

Focus Features will release ‘Bugonia’ in U.S. theaters on October 24.
