Production is currently underway in London on ‘Viva La Madness,’ the upcoming action thriller from director Guy Ritchie, with an ensemble cast joining lead Jason Statham.

Newly revealed cast members include Vinnie Jones (‘Snatch,’ ‘Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels’), Jason Isaacs (‘The White Lotus,’ ‘Harry Potter’), Babs Olusanmokun (‘Dune,’ ‘The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare’), Camila Mendes (‘Riverdale,’ ‘Palm Springs’), Ben Foster (‘Hell or High Water’), Jonny Lee Miller (‘The Crown’), and Raúl Alejandro (‘La Reina del Flow’). Jones, Olusanmokun, and Miller are familiar collaborators of Ritchie.

The film is adapted from the forthcoming novel ‘Viva La Madness’ by JJ Connolly, who co-wrote the screenplay alongside Ritchie. Plot details remain tightly guarded.

Connolly’s novel serves as a sequel to his debut book ‘Layer Cake,’ but the film adaptation of ‘Viva La Madness’ is described as a standalone project rather than a continuation of any previous story. ‘Layer Cake’ was famously adapted for the screen in 2004, with Matthew Vaughn directing his feature debut.

The project was developed by Statham through Punch Palace Productions and Thomas Benski via Lumina Studios. They are producing alongside Ritchie and Ivan Atkinson for Toff Guy Films, as well as John Friedberg for Black Bear. Black Bear will handle domestic distribution, with Amazon MGM Studios releasing the film across most international markets.
